The Evening times commented on the Scottish Entertainment Awards’ allowance of the public into the event.
Organiser of the awards night, Warren Paul, said: “The public have never been involved in the event and it’s always been hospitality trade only.”
The article announces the variety line-up of X Factor star Nicholas McDonald, comedian Lee Nelson and Britain’s Got Talent duo Richard and Adam will be among the acts performing at the Armadillo in Glasgow while comedian, panto star and DJ, Des Clarke, hosts the evening.
The public vote will be closed on the 7th April and a team of 18 judges will visit the five nominees who have the largest amount of votes in each individual category, and then the venues with the highest score will be declared the winner.
And things will be a bit different this year too. As well as the traditional categories, including Scotland’s best Italian, Best Family Restaurant and Best Newcomer, organisers have also introduced new groups including Best Community Pub, and Best Independent Hotel.’
